Repairing a roof when damage has occurred is usually much cheaper than an entire roof replacement. Common repair jobs include replacing cracked or broken tiles and repairing soffits and fascias. With this in mind, we’re going to take a closer look at roof repair costs.
Replacing tiles
The cost of replacing roof tiles will vary depending on the size of the roof and the number of tiles that need replacing. Ultimately, the size and extent of the damage to the roof is the dictating factor in the roof repair quote. The style of roof that needs repairing will also dictate the price, for instance, a low pitched roof will tend to be cheaper to repair than a high pitched roof.
Soffits and fascias
Again, the cost of replacing soffits and fascias will vary depending on the size of the house and the amount of work required. It’s worth bearing in mind that this job normally involves removing the old soffits and fascias and replacing them with new uPVC ones, so it can take a couple of days to complete. Parts and labour are usually included in the cost.
Chimney flashing
Another common repair job is replacing lead chimney flashing. This is relatively straightforward and costs approximately a day’s work.
